I say this is Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo because I think it tastes like it. I was craving some Chicken Alfredo one day so I looked up some recipes online and Martha Stewarts recipe looked less complicated than the rest, so I made it. My parents and my friend really liked it. It was a cheap meal that costs only twenty three dollars and feeds three people. The history of Alfredo is a very simple one. In 1914 a man named Alfredo Di Lelio was trying to please his hungry pregnant wife so he whipped up something in the pan that consisted of parmesan and butter and poured the sauce over some fettuccine and later opened a restaurant.
Ingredients :
-1 Ib chicken (I use dark meat) -1/2 tablespoon of sea salt (although Martha Stewart calls for coarse salt -1/2 tablespoon ground white pepper -2 tablespoons unsalted butter -2 cups heavy cream -4 cloves garlic, peeled -3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese -1 pound fettuccine
How to prepare:
Step 1- Cut chicken in strips. Season with salt and white pepper and saute in butter. Meanwhile in a separate pot, simmer garlic cloves in cream for 10 minutes.
Step 2- Pour cream into pan with chicken after removing garlic cloves from the cream. Stir in Parmesan. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
Step 3- Toss Pasta with sauce and serve with extra Parmesan.
